Outstanding stock and grain farm of 702 ha in sought after and well known good stock farming area falling under the district of the Overberg town of Heidelberg in the
Western Cape province of South Africa.
There are 500 ha of arable and very fertile lands that can grow any crop suitable for the area but at present is used for grazing purposes only, some lands planted and some still in a natural state.
The area is renowned as a top stock farming area with many edible plants in the natural vegetation but is also acceptable for dry land Lucerne of which 150 ha are planted and is mainly used as grazing for ewes with young.
The farm is divided into 20 camps and has river frontage on the Duivenhoks River with a pumping quota for 100 ha irrigation, that is at present not utilized by the Owner.
Water for house and stock drinking purposes is from the fresh water supply of the Duifenhoks pumping station near Heidelberg. Included in as possible transaction are 1000 full grown Dorper ewes. Farm can carry 1,500 sheep according to Owner.
In order to sell the property as a running concern there are also implements involved that includes the following: International 844 medium size tractor, Fiat 4x4 tractor, Agrico tractor sprayer, 9 tooth ghropp, 5 meter Field span, John Shear seed drill, 2 x 4wheel trailers, tractor driven hammer mill, Tokman feed mixer, International wheat cutter and a 1991 model Toyota Hino 14/177, 8 ton truck with stock trellis on load bay.
The house is in good condition, with 5 bedrooms and there is an also a loose standing Granny flat, that gets used for visitor accommodation. Then there are 4 all enclosed sheds of different sizes for machinery, silage and other storage. The farm has esthetic beauty with interesting layout of flatland, ravines, hills, river area and is an absolute outstanding stock farm with the scarce addition of an irrigation quota as well as river frontage.
