Outstanding scenic property of just 386 ha, situated in the lovely Prinsriver valley running through the Ladismith district of the beautiful Klein Karoo in the Western Cape province of South Africa. ±39 Ha arable lands under irrigation with underground mainlines and around 29ha planted Lucerne, the rest typical Karoo mountain veld vegetation, used occasionally as grazing.
Water listing from Prinsriver irrigation scheme as well as an esthetic borehole, that is a borehole that continually runs out the top by itself producing absolutely pure, sparkling white and clean underground water. Five more boreholes of which four are fitted with pumping equipment delivering individually 38,000, 38,000, 8,000, 20,000 liter per hour - there is also a hole (without a pump) that tested 26,000 liters per hour. There are 7 labourer homes and two sheds. Four of these are three room buildings and are very near the esthetic borehole.
The property is at present farmed and produces Luserne and sheep for meat production. There is lots of natural game and birdlife in the area. The surrounding Klein Karoo area is well known for its large game reserves that attract many visitors from all over the world.

Ladismith is situated in the Klein Karoo and lies along the Route 62 at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountain range.
The town was established in 1852. Named after Lady Juana Smith, wife of the Governor of the Cape, Sir Harry Smith. The original “Ladismith” was changed in 1879 to “Ladismith” to prevent confusion with a similarly named town in Kwazulu Natal.
Ladismith serves as an extensive farming area with ideal climate for the production of quality fruit – apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines and grapes. Ladismith produces a third of South Africa’s apricots! If one travels east through the beautiful Hoeko Valley, breathtaking views of the orchards in the spring and autumn can be experienced.
Traveling west of Ladismith, one can visit the picturesque valleys, with the orchards, vineyards and old farmhouses of Dwarsrivier, Voorbaat and Van Zylsdamme.
Ladismith also have two cheese factories, Ladismith Cheese Factory and Parmalat. The local Winery offers the wine lover a great selection of Towerkop wines.
