Paarl, the third oldest town in South Africa, is renowned for its beautiful scenic setting in the centre of the winelands. It has a temperate climate & a rich historic background. It is also considered by many as a safe location, and since it is only a 40 minute drive from Cape Town’s city centre and airport; it is no surprise that recently the area has been experiencing an influx of families from big cities such as Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town. The town has all the convenience of city life, with café's and restaurants as well as all other necessary amenities. It has a variety of excellent schools – rated as amongst the best in the country.
Property Market :
Entry level property prices in the area start at roughly between R400 000 – R600 000 and mid level properties range from R900 000 to R2,2-million The. rental market is also faring well with monthly rentals averaging R3000 for a typical two-bedroom sectional title unit. Houses are also in demand and go for between R7000 and R15 000 a month each
With estate living having become increasingly popular, properties within developments such as Pearl Valley, where the SA Open is hosted, have continued to experience good returns.
