Newly promulgated legislation pertaining to development guidelines around beachfront and beachside developments will have a significant impact on coastal properties. Until recently guidelines prescribed that the recess from the high water mark to the front of beachfront stand was to be 30 metres with no specific reference as to the density of property beyond the 30 metre mark.
New legislation now dictate:
